October 10, 2009

Well I guess it is time for an update. I should be doing this more now that I got a new laptop for my birthday but I am still trying to figure out how to use it and pictures will definately have to come later.

I can't believe that summer is over and winter is just around the corner. We have been busy with the boys as always. School has started and I finally get to sleep during the day. Jordan is a senior this year. He is playing varsity and jv football. He loves it. He is taking a lot of AP classes this year trying to get college credits. He is trying to decide where to go to college, deciding between physical therapy and pharmacy. He is a very smart boy and I know he can do anything he puts his mind too. Coleman is in Jr. High this year, 7th grade. He was the only one of his friends to go to Springville. We tried our hardest to get him into Mapleton with no success. He is, or should I say was, playing football but broke his foot a few weeks into the season so he was unable to play. He was a good cheerleader though. He just got out of his cast so he should be ready to go for baseball. River is in 6th grade. He is playing his first year of tackle football and is doing great. He is fearless. His team is in first place and on their way to the super bowl next week. Jacksen is in first grade and loves it. He has a great teacher and is doing so well. He can't wait for baseball to start. I think he is ready to quite being on the sidelines and be part of the team again.

Jack and I are still busy with work. Well Jack is. We are down in numbers at work but I still have a job which is good. Thank goodness for graveyards. Jack should be done with his first foreman job soon. He did such a good job and is an amazing worker. We are lucky to have him.

We hope all is well with you who follow our blog. I will try and be better with updates and pictures. We love you all.

Yes, we are still alive!!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I have actually written an update. I love to read all of our friend's and family's, but have neglected to do ours.

Our family is doing great. We survived the holiday season and 2009 is starting off great. Christmas was wonderful. It was nice to see family that we haven't seen for a long time. We had lots of fun at family and work parties. The boys got everything they wanted from Santa and Jack spoiled me. I think I got everything I even mentioned I wanted. Thanks Honey!!

Jack is still working for Copper Mountain Electric. They are really busy which is a huge blessing. He just found out that he will be running his own job and is very excited to get started. We are so proud of him and his hard work. He deserves this.

I am still working at Discovery Ranch. I am working graveyards which I love. I work with amazing people and we have so much fun together. They have become some of my best friends. The hours are rough but I get to see my husband and kids and I would trade that for no sleep any day!

Jordan is doing great. He just started his first job and is doing really well. He actually makes more than I do! He is doing great in school and maintaining really good grades. He is working out really hard getting ready for football this summer. He just started playing guitar in a band called "Brookside". They actually recorded a song last week and are amazing.

Coleman is playing basketball and baseball. His basketball team is undefeated. He didn't want to play but is realizing it's really not that bad. They started baseball practice a few weeks ago to get ready for the Sunshine Tournament in March. He got his catcher's euipment for Christmas and is really excited to play this year. He is still doing great in school.

River is playing basketball with Coleman. It's really fun to have them on the same team. He is doing really well. He is a great player and VERY competitive. He is practicing baseball to get ready for this summer and doing great. He has such a cute personality and is always finding ways to make us laugh.

Jacksen is well Jacksen. He is our little trouble maker. He is always busy. He has such a funny personality and is always saying the craziest things. There is never a dull moment with him in the house.

And finally, we have three new additions to our family. Our Lucy had three little puppies last Friday. They are all girls and the cutest things. The boys are loving having them. We are going to have a very hard time letting them go. The boys really want to keep one and I finally gave in. Now we just have to decide on a name. Hopefully I'll win!

We will post new pictures as soon as we find time to finally put them on the computer.

September 2008

It's crazy how fast time is flying by. We have been very busy with the boys and all of their sports and it's crazy that it is already September. The boys are loving football season. They are all playing really well. Jordan's JV team is undefeated so far and the Varsity has only lost one game. Go Devils! Coleman's team hasn't lost since their first game. He scored his first touchdown off an interseption last Saturday. I wasn't there to witness it, but he ran 40 yds and was pretty winded by the time he hit the endzone. River is playing great as the quarterback. His team scored a touchdown yesterday as he went down with a sprained hip. He recooperated well and played great again tonight. Jacksen is as talkative as ever. He went on his first field trip last Friday and we had a great time. He loves school and has become quite an artist. He is a funny child and makes us all laugh. As crazy as life is, Jack and I managed to get away last weekend for our anniversary. We had a great time. It's so nice to be so in love and still enjoy eachother's company. We had a nice dinner, walked around and spent time laughing together. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and father to my boys.

August 27, 2008

Just a quick update on the family. Jacksen started his first day of kindergarten today. He was really excited and so was I until I dropped him off and left him for the first time. He had a great day and we both survived. River played his second flag football game tonight and won 20-0 with him making the last touchdown running a quarterback sneak. Coleman played his first tackle football game today. They lost 18-12 and he was pretty upset. He played the whole game as a guard on offensive and a middle linebacker on defense. He was out of the game for one play the whole game. He did an amazing job. Jordan won his first JV game against Lehi (30-6). He played offensive and defensive line. He lost the varsity game (25-16) but it was an awesome game. We love watching the boys play in all their different sports and are really glad to be "back at the field" again.

Jordan

Jordan is a junior this year. He is playing Red Devil Football on the varsity and JV teams. "Go Devils!" He just turned 16 and loves driving the jeep anywhere he can.

Coleman

Coleman is just finishing up with his last year in elementary school. He finally moves to junior high will he won't stand out so much!!! Everyone thinks he belongs in high school because in is our giant. He is 5'10" and out weighs Jack by 20 lbs. He is very, very busy with baseball right now. He is playing with his super league, Mapleton Golden Eagles, and they are doing great. He won the game for them against their rivals with a walk off single (I think that's what it is called!). He started catching this year and loves it. He is also playing city league and winning every game. He loves sports and has been very lucky to be coached by such amazing people.

River

River, River, River, where do I start. He is just finishing his fifth grade year and is thrilled to be out for the summer. He still LOVES to talk in class but is doing really well. He decided not to play baseball this year and try lacrosse instead. He is really excited and thinks he will enjoy it. He started practice last night and will have his first game soon. Let's just hope he keeps that mouth and temper under control! He is growing like a weed. I never thought he would put on any weight but he finally broke 100 pounds. He is such a good boy and keeps us on our toes.

Jacksen

Jacksen just graduated from kindergarten. He is so excited not to have to get up in the morning and I think I'm even more excited not to have to fight that battle for a few months! He is playing coach pitch this year. He is on his uncle Chad's team, the Red Sox, and loves it. He is still our little artist and is always drawing pictures for anyone who will take them. He is such a joy to have in our house.
