October 10, 2009

Well I guess it is time for an update. I should be doing this more now that I got a new laptop for my birthday but I am still trying to figure out how to use it and pictures will definately have to come later.

I can't believe that summer is over and winter is just around the corner. We have been busy with the boys as always. School has started and I finally get to sleep during the day. Jordan is a senior this year. He is playing varsity and jv football. He loves it. He is taking a lot of AP classes this year trying to get college credits. He is trying to decide where to go to college, deciding between physical therapy and pharmacy. He is a very smart boy and I know he can do anything he puts his mind too. Coleman is in Jr. High this year, 7th grade. He was the only one of his friends to go to Springville. We tried our hardest to get him into Mapleton with no success. He is, or should I say was, playing football but broke his foot a few weeks into the season so he was unable to play. He was a good cheerleader though. He just got out of his cast so he should be ready to go for baseball. River is in 6th grade. He is playing his first year of tackle football and is doing great. He is fearless. His team is in first place and on their way to the super bowl next week. Jacksen is in first grade and loves it. He has a great teacher and is doing so well. He can't wait for baseball to start. I think he is ready to quite being on the sidelines and be part of the team again.

Jack and I are still busy with work. Well Jack is. We are down in numbers at work but I still have a job which is good. Thank goodness for graveyards. Jack should be done with his first foreman job soon. He did such a good job and is an amazing worker. We are lucky to have him.

We hope all is well with you who follow our blog. I will try and be better with updates and pictures. We love you all.

August 27, 2008

Just a quick update on the family. Jacksen started his first day of kindergarten today. He was really excited and so was I until I dropped him off and left him for the first time. He had a great day and we both survived. River played his second flag football game tonight and won 20-0 with him making the last touchdown running a quarterback sneak. Coleman played his first tackle football game today. They lost 18-12 and he was pretty upset. He played the whole game as a guard on offensive and a middle linebacker on defense. He was out of the game for one play the whole game. He did an amazing job. Jordan won his first JV game against Lehi (30-6). He played offensive and defensive line. He lost the varsity game (25-16) but it was an awesome game. We love watching the boys play in all their different sports and are really glad to be "back at the field" again.

Jordan

Jordan is a junior this year. He is playing Red Devil Football on the varsity and JV teams. "Go Devils!" He just turned 16 and loves driving the jeep anywhere he can.

Coleman

Coleman is just finishing up with his last year in elementary school. He finally moves to junior high will he won't stand out so much!!! Everyone thinks he belongs in high school because in is our giant. He is 5'10" and out weighs Jack by 20 lbs. He is very, very busy with baseball right now. He is playing with his super league, Mapleton Golden Eagles, and they are doing great. He won the game for them against their rivals with a walk off single (I think that's what it is called!). He started catching this year and loves it. He is also playing city league and winning every game. He loves sports and has been very lucky to be coached by such amazing people.

River

River, River, River, where do I start. He is just finishing his fifth grade year and is thrilled to be out for the summer. He still LOVES to talk in class but is doing really well. He decided not to play baseball this year and try lacrosse instead. He is really excited and thinks he will enjoy it. He started practice last night and will have his first game soon. Let's just hope he keeps that mouth and temper under control! He is growing like a weed. I never thought he would put on any weight but he finally broke 100 pounds. He is such a good boy and keeps us on our toes.

Jacksen

Jacksen just graduated from kindergarten. He is so excited not to have to get up in the morning and I think I'm even more excited not to have to fight that battle for a few months! He is playing coach pitch this year. He is on his uncle Chad's team, the Red Sox, and loves it. He is still our little artist and is always drawing pictures for anyone who will take them. He is such a joy to have in our house.
